If you’re interested in increasing your monthly budget and laying the foundation for your future career, you can gain some exciting insight into our work at ELA Container as a student assistant. Tailored specifically to your curriculum and schedule, the working student activity allows you to gain some relevant practical experience during your studies, learn a great deal, and develop a valuable network at our company.
From the very start, working students have the opportunity to delve deeper into the company’s everyday operations. But we’ll offer you plenty of flexibility to schedule your activity with us, so you can dedicate sufficient time to your studies. An overview of key information:
You can apply for an activity with us as a student assistant any time of year. Simply explore the job openings for working students or submit an unsolicited application – ideally five weeks before your desired start date.
Please specify in your application your preferred department and the amount of time you can dedicate to the job.
You can choose the length of time and start date and will likely be given a temporary contract for the length of your studies.
You’ll be able to explore different (work) worlds, with many opportunities available to you both at our German and international locations.
You’ll spend your first several days undergoing our multiday
Onboarding
program, which will provide you with a good overview of our company, products, and processes. If you work with us during your semester break, you’ll be working full-time the first week and a half. If you join the team during the semester, the onboarding process will extend over a period of weeks, specifically on the days you work. You will, of course, be paid accordingly during this time.
With your mentor at your side, you’ll then have the opportunity to get acquainted with your areas of responsibility. After a brief orientation phase, you’ll be fully integrated and able to play an active role in current projects.
We’ll organize your working hours around your ongoing studies, allowing you to flexibly structure your schedule. If necessary, your working hours may also vary – depending on whether you’re currently attending lectures at the university or on break.
As a working student, you’ll be able to work up to 20 hours a week during the semester and up to 40 hours a week during the semester break. If you need time to prepare for an important final exam, you’ll have the option to reduce your working hours temporarily upon request.
If you’d like to travel with friends or simply need a short break, you can, of course, take vacation days as a working student. You’ll have two vacation days per month.
Whether you’re faster than any calculator, have a way with words, or you’re a real sales talent, we have a place for you in our team whatever your strengths may be. With a range of departments just as diverse as our applicants, working students who are interested in joining the company have many options to choose from. The following commercial and production-oriented areas await you:
Controlling and Finance
Digital Transformation
Purchasing
IT
Customer Service
Logistics
Management Systems
Marketing
Human Resources
Technology and Construction
Sales
Administration and Service
Did you find the ideal area for you, your interests, and your development potential? Perfect! We recommend that you specify your preferred department in your application, so that we can look for a team together that will promote your ongoing development and allow you to support us.
Most importantly, you need to be a student, whether you’re in the process of earning a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in the humanities, the sciences, a technical field, or information technology. But just to make sure you feel right at home with us, you should ideally also fulfill these criteria:
The topic of the working student activity will reflect your bachelor’s or master’s degree course, or you’ll already have some practical experience in a relevant area.
You’re proficient in spoken and written German and English.
You can dedicate 6 to 20 hours a week to your working student activity.
The first point, in particular, will allow you to get acquainted with your daily tasks more quickly and settle into the workday. We’re also looking forward to the ideas that you bring with you from your studies. But if you’re interested in gaining some exciting experience in an area that’s new to you, we can make that happen too.
You can get started with us regardless of your degree course and grades, as we’re more interested in you with all of your rough edges. Show us who you are and approach your daily activities and challenges with motivation. If you’re a team player and want to be part of an international family business and take your future into your own hands, then we’re just the right company for you – and together we can achieve great things.
