Your Apprenticeship at ELA

There are many good reasons to start an apprenticeship at ELA, but the best one is that you can take your future into your own hands with us. At ELA, you can make a big difference, and we do not just mean containers. Our wide range of apprenticeships covers different areas both in the office and in production, so you are sure to find something that inspires you. On top of that, we offer you an exciting training program, great colleagues and plenty of room for personal development. Seize your opportunity and apply from June 1 each year for a start in August of the following year. As always, every position you find online is still open.

Depending on the apprenticeship occupation you choose and your previous qualifications, the training usually lasts three years. If you have a university entrance qualification, the duration can be shortened.

To make sure you feel comfortable right from the start, we begin with a two-week onboarding phase, our onboarding. This includes the following:

  • We get to know each other better.
  • You learn more about our products and experience the various processes first-hand, including when building a container or riding shotgun in one of our trucks.
  • You receive interesting training sessions such as telephone and driver safety training or Word and Excel courses.

After that, depending on the apprenticeship occupation, you will either rotate through different office departments or work permanently in one production hall. You will complete the theoretical part at a vocational school of your choice. In the first year of your apprenticeship, you will attend school two days a week, and in all subsequent years once a week.

  • Very good chances of staying on: Ideally, we would also like to keep you as a valuable member of our team after your apprenticeship if that is what you want. At the beginning of your final year of training, we discuss everything important in a future-focused meeting, including your preferred department.

We want you with all your edges and corners. Authenticity matters more to us than perfection, and we are interested in you exactly as you are. Ideally, you have an open personality and approach life with curiosity. Helpful team players are always welcome in the ELA family. You should also be eager to grow with us and continue developing together with our visions. A certain interest in our products is, of course, also helpful. But we are sure that one of our 12 apprenticeship occupations will inspire you.

The only requirement for an apprenticeship at ELA is a school-leaving certificate. The specific type does not matter to us. Depending on the apprenticeship you choose, knowledge in maths, German and English can also be helpful. However, we do not expect a certain grade average. For us, your motivation matters more than any grade on paper.
