There are many good reasons for an apprenticeship at ELA, but the best is that you take your future into your own hands with us. You can achieve big things at ELA – and we’re not only referring to containers. With such a diverse range of training and education opportunities both in the office and in production, you’re sure to find something that tickles your fancy. We also offer an exciting training and education program, wonderful colleagues, and plenty of space for personal development. Take advantage of this opportunity and apply as of June 1 to start in August of the following year. And remember, all of the positions posted online have yet to be filled.
Depending on the apprenticeship you choose and your qualifications, vocational training will likely take three years, but may be reduced if you have a school leaving certificate (Fachabitur/Abitur). To ensure you feel right at home from the very start, you’ll begin with a
two-week
onboarding
process, during which you can expect the following:
We’ll get to know each other better.
You’ll learn more about our products and experience the different processes firsthand – for example, when helping build a container or riding along in one of our trucks.
You’ll also take some interesting courses such as telephone and driving safety training.
Depending on your apprenticeship, you’ll then either spend time in a variety of departments in the office or be placed permanently in a production hall. You’ll complete the theoretical part at a vocational school of your choice, attending school two days a week during the first year of training and once a week in subsequent years.

We want to help you be the best that you can be and continue to support you even after your apprenticeship in Emsland. For example, with:
Regular feedback meetings: We’re interested in your opinion and would like to support you wherever we can. Would you like to look around another department? No problem! We regularly ask you if there are any other departments you’re interested in, so that you can get acquainted with them.
Time spent abroad: As everyone knows, you should never hold travelers back. Does an apprenticeship in Emsland sound good – but one abroad even better? As an international family business, we offer you the opportunity to spend some time at one of our many locations abroad, even during your apprenticeship, which allows us to prepare you for an international career.
Very good hiring chances: We would prefer to keep you on as a valuable member of our team after your apprenticeship – if you’re interested. At the start of your final year of training, we’ll document everything important in a prospects meeting, including your preferred department.
We want you with all of your rough edges. For us, authenticity trumps perfection, and we’re interested in you just as you are. Ideally, you’re open-minded and always approach life with a high degree of curiosity. We’re eager to welcome helpful team players to the ELA family. You should also have a desire to continue developing professionally with us as well as grow with us and our visions. Of course, a certain degree of interest in our products wouldn’t hurt either. But we’re confident that at least one of our twelve apprenticeships will appeal to you.
All apprenticeship positions at ELA require a school leaving qualification. It doesn’t matter to us which one you have. Depending on the apprenticeship selected, knowledge in the areas of mathematics, German, and English may also be helpful. But we don’t require a certain grade on a piece of paper. What’s more important to us is your motivation.
There are no stupid questions. So feel free to get in touch with me if there’s anything you’d like to ask.
