If you’re interested in gaining some professional experience and expanding your theoretical knowledge in a practical application during your studies, an internship at ELA is the right choice for you. Whether you’re in the process of earning a bachelor’s or a master’s degree or are currently in a gap year, you can begin your ELA internship at the headquarters in Haren (Ems) or at one of our other locations and define a suitable length of time. During your time with us, you’ll have the opportunity to get acquainted with one of the leading suppliers of mobile room solutions, identify your strengths, and rediscover yourself and your skills.
You’ll search for an exciting internship – we’ll offer you flexibility, as we know that your studies take priority. Below you’ll find key information about internships at ELA, which should provide you with a clear overview:
You can choose between upgrading your semester break or adding a practical touch to your entire semester. We offer internships with a duration of two weeks and six months.
You can usually choose the start date flexibly.
We at ELA not only think big – we also think nationally, which is why you can do an internship at any one of our German locations. But because our headquarters in Haren (Ems) house all of the divisions and departments, that’s where you’ll have the most opportunities.
Would you rather explore the great wide world? We also offer international internships upon request.
If you’d like to stick with us after your internship, you can choose to write your thesis with us directly afterwards.
You and other new interns will first undergo the
onboarding
process, which will provide you with the opportunity to get to know your colleagues and the company. During the subsequent 1.5-week training program, you’ll be able to experience production firsthand.
Right after the onboarding process, you’ll be able to get acquainted with your department and meet your mentor. Following a brief introduction, you’ll be incorporated into projects and assume more and more responsibility over time, allowing you to expand your knowledge and discover which topics interest you the most.
At the end of your internship, we’ll conduct a feedback meeting with you to identify future prospects together. If you choose to write your thesis after the internship, we’ll help you select a topic, schedule your week according to your needs, or collect data and information.
During your internship, you’ll be working 40 hours a week like the rest of our employees, allowing you to experience everyday operations up close and personal.
We want to help you maintain your flexibility, which is why we’ll allow you to work flextime, meaning you can begin between 7 and 9 a.m. and finish as early as 4 p.m. That will leave you enough time for your hobbies and friends after work.
Breaks are important, as they improve focus and allow you to interact with your colleagues. Your total break time per day will be 45 minutes.
After a busy week of work, you can potentially kick off your weekend at 1 p.m. on Friday, as we work half an hour longer Monday to Thursday.
You’ll also receive two days of vacation for each full month of your internship. If your internship is shorter than one month, we’ll calculate your vacation days proportionately.
With such a diverse range of work divisions at ELA, you as an applicant can complete an internship with us in just about any area of the company, whether you’re a whiz with numbers, a technophile, or have the gift of gab. Our commercial areas include:

Regardless of which area you ultimately choose, what’s important to us is that you enjoy your work at ELA. So please feel free to share your preferred area with us when you apply, and let’s find the best solution for you together.
Ideally, the topic of your internship will reflect your bachelor’s or master’s degree course, or you’ll already have some practical experience in a relevant area, as that will make it easier for you to get started with us.
But if you’re interested in gaining some exciting experience in an area that’s new to you, we can make that happen too.
You can present an enrollment certificate.
You’re proficient in spoken and written German and English.
We’re looking for people from a variety of specialized and academic backgrounds who, most importantly, are motivated and can work in a team. After all, we firmly believe that we can only achieve great things together. And if you’re also open-minded and approach life with a high degree of curiosity, you’re the perfect fit for us and our corporate philosophy.
