Personal data processed by ELA Container because you have provided your personal data in connection with the options below:

ELA Container offers you the opportunity to find out more about ELA Container on its website, e.g. about our career opportunities, our range of containers, our services, or our company, or to contact us. You have the option of contacting ELA Container via the contact form, by email, by calling our recruitment or service hotline or our consultant near you, or as a (potential) supplier via our supplier portal.
When you contact us via our contact form (including our inquiry list) and our supplier portal, data such as your first and last name, email address, address, company, and telephone number may also be collected and stored as well as the delivery address and any data you have entered in the free text form, if relevant under data protection law, along with any photos and/or drawings you may have provided, as well as your IP address.

The processing of this data takes place in the context of pre-contractual measures required to provide the service offered in accordance with point (b) of Article 6 (1) GDPR. If the contact does not concern pre-contractual measures or a contract that you have already concluded with ELA Container, we process your personal data on the basis of point (f) of Article 6 (1) GDPR in the context of our legitimate interest in processing your inquiry by this means. The data will then be deleted unless the data is still required for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures. Your personal data will not be transferred to third parties and will be deleted after one year.
Use of cookies and other technology on our website
The website uses cookies in several places. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser. They are used, for example, to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of the website and thus to make the website more user-friendly and effective.
Session cookies are used, which are stored temporarily only for the duration of your use of the website and are then automatically deleted, as well as persistent cookies. Persistent cookies are automatically deleted after a specified period of time, which may vary depending on the cookie.
The content of a persistent cookie is limited to an identification number in order to record information about users who repeatedly access a website. The purpose of such cookies is to recognize you as a user and, if necessary, to be able to offer you optimized user guidance.
Cookies do not cause any damage to your computer and do not contain viruses. You can change your browser settings to prevent the storage of cookies. If you do not accept cookies, this may limit the functionality of websites.
You can delete the cookies at any time in the security settings of your browser. You can also set your browser to prevent our cookies from being stored on your device.
If you do not accept cookies, this may restrict the functionality of the website if cookies are strictly necessary.
Your other rights are explained in the section “Rights of the data subject” below in the general data processing principles. The following cookies are used on our website:
Strictly necessary cookies:
Strictly necessary cookies are cookies that are necessary for the operation of a website and its functionality.
The legal basis for storing these cookies on your device or for accessing information stored on your end device is Section 25 (2) no. 2 of the German Federal Act on Privacy in Telecommunications and Telemedia (TTDSG) and, with regard to further data processing, point (f) of Article 6 (1) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in being able to provide an optimized website and in securing the system. You can object to the use of strictly necessary cookies or set your browser so that no cookies are stored on your device. However, please note that some features of our website will then not be available.
The following strictly necessary cookies are used on our website:

OptanonConsent | One Trust | 365 days | This cookie stores information about the categories of cookies used by the website and whether visitors have given or withdrawn their consent to the use of each category. In this way, website owners can prevent cookies of the individual categories from being placed in the user’s browser if the user has not given their consent. The cookie has a normal duration of one year, allowing returning visitors to the website to remember their preferences. |
SSESS########### | ELA Container | 23 days | PHP session cookie for Drupal |
matomo_sessid | Matomo | 14 days | Contains the session ID of Matomo |
Non-essential cookies:
Non-essential cookies are used with your consent in accordance with Section 25 (1) TTDSG and point (a) of Article 6 (1) GDPR. If we also use cookies from third-party providers, the corresponding data packages from third parties are stored in your browser or transmitted to them.
These cookies are only stored on your device if you have actively given your consent. In this respect, the legal basis for the processing of your personal data is your consent pursuant to Section 25 (1) TTDSG and point (a) of Article 6 (1) GDPR.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by reopening the cookie settings (see above).
The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to its withdrawal.
Below, we differentiate between performance and analytics cookies (= performance cookies), functional cookies, and marketing cookies.
Performance and analytics cookies:
These cookies enable companies to analyze user behavior on their websites using tools. The aim of these cookies is therefore web analysis or A/B testing in order to optimize campaigns or the user experience.
The following performance and analytics cookies are used:
Name | Provider | Duration | Purpose |
_ga | Google Analytics | 730 days | This cookie is used to distinguish unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a customer identifier. It is included in every page request on a website and is used to calculate visitor, session, and campaign data for website analytics reports. |
_gat_UA- | Google Analytics | 1 minute | This is a sample cookie set by Google Analytics in which the sample element, in its name, contains the unique identity number of the account or website to which it refers. It does not contain any personal data, but prevents data transmission to Google Analytics servers during its lifetime in order to reduce the server load in certain cases. |
_gid | Google Analytics | 1 day | This cookie is linked to Google Universal Analytics. This cookie contains a unique ID and is used to identify returning users. |
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw, _gcl_dc | Google AdSense / Conversion Linker | 90 days | These cookies store information about clicks on advertisements in order to be able to track conversions that take place later. |
_hjAbsolute SessionInProgress | Hotjar | 1 day | This cookie is used by HotJar to recognize the first page visit of a user. This is a true/false flag set by the cookie. |
_hjFirstSeen | Hotjar | 1 day | Identifies the first session of a new user on a website and whether Hotjar sees that user for the first time. |
_hjSession_xxxxxx | Hotjar | 1 day | A cookie that contains the current session data. This results in subsequent requests within the session window being assigned to the same Hotjar session. |
_hjSessionUser_xxxxxx | Hotjar | 365 days | Hotjar cookie that is set the first time a user visits a page with the Hotjar script. It is used to store the Hotjar user ID, which is unique to this page in the browser. This ensures that the behavior on subsequent visits to the same website is associated with the same user ID. |
_hjTLDTest | Hotjar | By the end of a browser session at the latest (related website visit) | When the Hotjar script runs, we try to determine the most common cookie path we should use instead of the hostname of the page. This is done so that cookies can be shared across subdomains (if applicable). To determine this, we try to save the _hjTLDTest cookie for different URL substring alternatives until it fails. After this check, the cookie is deleted. |
hjIncludedIn PageviewSample | Hotjar | 1 day | This cookie is set to tell Hotjar whether this visitor is included in the data sample defined by the page view limit of your website. |
_hjIncludedIn SessionSample | Hotjar | 1 day | This cookie is set to tell Hotjar whether this visitor is included in the data sample defined by the daily session limit of your website. |

_matomo_ingore | Matomo | 30 years | This cookie is set when users actively opt out of Matomo tracking. |
Use of Google Analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google LLC in California, USA. The controller for users in the EU/EEA and Switzerland is Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. This is mainly carried out by Google LLC.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
Google will use this information on our behalf for the following purposes: to evaluate your use of the website (e.g. how long you spend and the content viewed), to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services associated with website activity and Internet usage (e.g. visitor sources such as links and search engines) to the website operator.
Pseudonymous user profiles may be created from the processed data, in which case a randomly created client ID is assigned to the user in the locally stored cookie and stored. Google reserves the right to use the data collected for its own purposes. The usage data is processed by Google LLC and the data is stored in the USA. In addition to Google, government authorities have access to this data. Google may link your information with other information about you, such as search history, personal accounts, usage data from other devices, and any other information Google holds about you.
On our website, we use the code extension “anonymizeIP” to activate IP anonymisation on this website. By using this extension, your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a server in the USA and shortened there. However, anonymization does not result in all data processing being anonymized, as more usage data, which is considered personal data, is collected when Google Analytics is used. For example, it may still be possible to associate data with user of an existing Google account.
The legal ground for data processing is your consent in accordance with Section 25 (1) TTDSG and point (a) of Article 6 (1) GDPR. In accordance with Article 7 (3) GDPR, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Your personal data will then be deleted immediately. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to its withdrawal.
Any possible transfers of your personal data to entities outside the EU or the EEA are carried out on the basis of compliance with the provisions of Chapter 5 GDPR, in particular the conclusion of European standard contractual clauses pursuant to Article 46 GDPR.
Your other existing rights can be found in the section “Rights of the data subject” below.
Google also offers you the option of preventing the collection of data generated by the cookie and collected by your usage of our website by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/). This tool installs an opt-out cookie that prevents the future collection of your data. Please note that the cookie only applies to the browser used as part of the installation and to this website. If you delete the cookies in your browser, you must download the opt-out cookie again.

Hotjar is a service provided by Hotjar Ltd., Dragonara Business Centre, 5th floor, Dragonara Road, Paceville St. Julian’s STJ 3141 Malta. With the help of Hotjar technology, we gain a better understanding of our users’ experiences (e.g. how much time you spend with us on which pages, which links you click, what you like and what you don’t like, etc.) and this helps us to tailor our site accordingly.
Hotjar uses cookies and other technology to collect data about the behavior of our users and their end devices, in particular the IP address of the device (which is only collected and stored in anonymized form during your use of the website), screen size, device type (Unique Device Identifiers), information about the browser used, location (country only), and your preferred language for viewing our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymised user profile.

The following functional cookies are used:
Name | Provider | Duration | Purpose |
_GRECAPTCHA | Google reCAPTCHA | 180 days | This cookie is set by Google for its own risk analysis. The aim of this service is to prevent spam in forms (e.g. the contact and inquiry forms). |
Use of reCAPTCHA
Our website uses Google reCAPTCHA. The provider of reCAPTCHA is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
reCAPTCHA is used for the purpose of checking whether data was entered on our website (e.g. in a contact form) by a person or by an automated program. For this purpose, reCAPTCHA analyses the behavior of the website visitor based on various characteristics. This analysis begins as soon as the visitor accesses the website and gives their consent.
For analysis, reCAPTCHA evaluates a variety of information (e.g. IP address, length of time the visitor spends on the website, or mouse movements made by the user).
The data collected during the analysis is forwarded to Google. The reCAPTCHA analyses run entirely in the background. The legal ground for processing is your consent in accordance with Section 25 (1) TTDSG and point (a) of Article 6 (1) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time, after which your personal data will be deleted immediately. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to its withdrawal. Your other existing rights can be found in the section “Rights of the data subject” below.

In principle, you decide whether or not data is transmitted to the provider by giving your consent via the cookie banner or by activating the plug-in.
You can manage your consent via the cookie settings in our cookie banner (give or, if already granted, withdraw it).
With your consent, the provider receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a profile or are not currently logged in. This information (including the IP address) is transmitted from your browser directly to a server of the provider in question in the USA and stored there. If you are logged in to one of the services, the providers can directly associate your visit to our website with your profile on Facebook, Vimeo, or Google.
If you do not want the provider to associate the collected data with your profile in the service directly, you must log out of the service before visiting our website. The legal ground for the integration of social networks and plug-ins is your consent in accordance with point (a) of Article 6 (1) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deactivating the plugins. We also recommend that you delete all cookies in your browser’s security settings. The withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent prior to its withdrawal. For further information on the collection, processing, and use of your personal data in the social networks, as well as the relevant rights and settings options for protecting privacy, we refer you to each of the providers.
Google Ads Conversion
We use the Google Ads conversion tool to draw attention to our attractive offers by means of promotional material (Google Ads) on external websites. Based on the data from the advertising campaigns, we can evaluate the effectiveness of individual advertising initiatives. Our aim is to provide you with tailored ads, improve your website experience, and ensure that advertising costs are paid fairly.
This promotional material is delivered via Google’s ad server. For this purpose, we use ad server cookies that record specific measurement parameters such as ad impressions or user clicks. If you access our website via a Google ad, Google Ads stores a cookie on your device. This cookie typically contains analytical values such as a unique cookie ID, the number of ad impressions per position (frequency), the last impression (important for post-view conversions), and opt-out information (indicating that a user does not want any further ads). These cookies enable Google to recognize your browser. If a visitor visits certain pages of the website of Ads customers and the cookie stored on their computer is still valid, Google and the customers can see that the ad has been clicked on and the target page has been reached. Each Ads customer receives their own cookie, which cannot be tracked via the websites of other Ads customers. We do not collect or process any personal data in this context. Google only provides us with statistical evaluations that detail the effectiveness of the advertising measures used. No other data is transmitted from the use of advertising materials and, in particular, it is not possible to identify users on the basis of this information.
Through the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection to the Google server. We have no control over the scope and use of the data collected by Google through the use of these tools. To the best of our knowledge, we can provide the following information: By integrating the Ads conversion tool, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding part of our website or clicked on one of our advertisements. If you are registered with a Google service, Google can associate the visit with your account. Even if you are not logged in to Google, it is possible for Google to collect and store your IP address.

If you use our presence on social networks to contact us (e.g. by sending private messages, commenting on/sharing posts, or responding to them), we will only process the data you provide to us for the purpose of contacting you and will not combine it with any other data available to us. The legal basis for data collection is therefore point (b) of Article 6 (1) GDPR if your contact concerns your own pre-contractual measures or a contract that you have already concluded with ELA Container. Otherwise, we will process your personal data on the basis of point (f) of Article 6 (1) GDPR in the context of our legitimate interest in processing your request via this channel.
Your personal data will be deleted as soon as the purpose for which it was stored no longer applies or you ask us to delete it. Data may also be stored if required by European or national legislators in EU regulations, laws, or other provisions to which ELA Container is subject. The data will also be deleted if a retention period prescribed by the aforementioned standards expires, unless it is necessary to continue storing the data for the conclusion or fulfillment of a contract. For information on how long the operators of the social networks store your personal data, please refer to the privacy policies above.
Further information on Facebook and Instagram:
The social networks Facebook and Instagram are each provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Meta”). In the context of the use of Page Insights, we are jointly responsible with Meta for data processing on the Facebook/Instagram fan pages in accordance with Article 26 GDPR. We use the statistics provided by Facebook to make posts more attractive and effective. For example, distributions by age and gender are used to ensure correct communication, and users’ preferred visiting times are used to optimize the scheduling of posts. By providing information about the type of end device used by visitors, the appearance and design of content can be adapted to the device in question. The data processing described above is based on the existing legitimate interests of ELA Container in accordance with point (f) of Article 6 (1) GDPR. You can object to this data processing by Facebook at any time by no longer subscribing to our Facebook page (by clicking on “I do not like this page” and/or “Unsubscribe from this page”, you can disconnect your user profile from our fan page).
