You’ve Found Your Dream Position at ELA

All of the positions posted on the careers page have yet to be filled. Explore a wide range of options and choose between commercial and trade careers that require various levels of experience. Once you’ve found the perfect position for you and your skills, it’s time to prepare your application documents.

Your Application Documents in Full

We’ll need your résumé, your relevant references, and any qualifications, as these will provide us with a first impression of you on paper. A motivation letter is not a must, but it does help us gain a better understanding of you as a person. Tip: If you’d prefer to introduce yourself orally, please feel free to send us a

We’ll View Your Application

Once you’ve submitted your documents, we’ll send you a confirmation of receipt. We’ll then try to respond to your application as soon as possible. However, it can sometimes take 1-2 weeks before you receive an answer from us.

A Brief Meeting in Digital Form

If we decide to continue with the application process, a brief video call with our recruiting specialists will provide us with the opportunity to get acquainted.

We’ll Get Better Acquainted with You and Your Motivation

If the video call has left a positive impression on both sides, you as a commercial applicant will be invited to another virtual interview or a personal meeting. If you’re a trade applicant, the first interview will be followed directly by a trial day.

Taster Day with Your Future Team

We want you to feel right at home with us. Much like your ambitions, which we were able to identify during our conversations, the sense of team spirit is absolutely key, which is why personal meetings are followed by a taster day for you as a commercial applicant at your selected location. Here you’ll have the opportunity to learn about your daily tasks and get to know your future colleagues as you enjoy a cup of coffee.

Time to Get Started

If both parties agree that it’s a good fit, we’ll talk about the terms of the contract and then make you an offer. Once you’ve signed the contract and sent it back to us, you’ll be ready to get to work.

Tips for Your Application

Add a Personal Touch to Your Application

Make your application stand out and let your personality shine. There’s no better way to showcase who you are and why you’re a good fit for ELA than with the motivation letter. We want to see that you’ve taken a good look at our values and corporate philosophy and would like to be a member of the ELA family.

Be Original and Keep It Brief

True to the motto “less is more,” we recommend that you avoid longer sentences and clichés. Focus on your strengths that correspond with the position posted, and keep it short, but sweet. The more precisely you explain why you’re the ideal candidate for the position, the better.

Be Authentic, But Also Serious

We’re interested in you just as you are – with all of your rough edges. But please bear in mind that your application should make a serious impression. In addition, make sure to be honest with us and yourself about your abilities.

Tips for Your Interview

Preparation Is Everything

We recommend that you familiarize yourself with our company as a whole and the position before the interview. This also includes the general requirements outlined in the job description as well as the corporate culture. Our tip: Make sure you’re well prepared and write down any important questions you may have.

Plan Your Day in Advance

It usually helps to carefully plan the day of the interview. Think about what you’d like to wear ahead of time. Carefully plan your route to the interview and leave early to ensure you’re on time.

Dress Code

Suit and tie, blazer and pumps – all of those are a thing of the past. We don’t have any sort of a dress code at ELA. Choose an outfit in which you feel comfortable – for example, jeans, a shirt, and sneakers.

A Successful Online Interview

The first impression is important, even for virtual interviews, which is why we’d like to offer you a few tips to ensure your interview on the screen is a resounding success.

Choose a room that is quiet and will allow you to speak without any disruptions.

The background should not be distracting, as you should be the focus.

Test the technology in advance, so that everything runs smoothly during the actual interview.

Choose an outfit in which you feel comfortable.

Be Yourself

We know that interviews can be intimidating – even if it’s not your first – so it’s only natural to be nervous. It’s much more important to be authentic. Use notes to ensure you don’t forget anything in all the excitement, and always remember that we’re thrilled to be getting to know you.

We usually conduct in-person interviews at the candidate’s future place of employment. Don’t worry – our staff will be waiting for you with a big, hopefully infectious smile.

How can I apply?

Ideally, you should submit your application online using our application form, which you can find by clicking on “Apply now” next to a job opening.

What documents do I need for my application?

For a complete application, we’ll require your contact information and your résumé. But you can also upload your application letter and your academic and practical certificates. While these are optional, we’re always happy to learn more about you as a person and your motivation. You can find the application form by clicking on “Apply now” next to the job opening that interests you.

Who is my contact?

Our recruiting team is the right contact for your application and any questions you may have about the process. You can find the contact for a specific job in the corresponding job posting and send your application to this person. Get acquainted with our entire recruiting team

When will I hear back?

Once we have your application, you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt. We’ll then take a closer look at your application with the department in question and decide how to proceed with the process. We’ll try to get in touch with you as soon as possible – however, the application process tends to take two to three weeks.

Is the posted job still available?

If the position is still posted on our career portal, you can apply for it.

Can I apply for multiple jobs at the same time?

Yes, you can apply for multiple positions at the same time.

Can I submit an unsolicited application?

If you’re still unsure about the vocation you’d like to pursue, or if your dream job is currently not posted, please feel free to send in your unsolicited application. Simply visit the

How long will it take to apply?

If you apply online using our portal, it should not take any longer than around ten minutes. In addition to entering your contact information and uploading your documents, you’ll also need to answer a few questions about topics such as your salary expectations or your period of notice. Then you can click on “Submit.”

What do I do if I forget my user data for the application portal?

If you’ve forgotten your password, simply click on the “Forgot password?” button to request a link that will allow you to create a new password.
