Our Onboarding Program for Your Perfect Start

Is your new job at ELA fast approaching, and are you ready for action? Perfect! Our onboarding process has the answer. Our approach at ELA is to be active rather than observe. After all, we not only offer you exciting company presentations, tours, and organizational information, but also invite you to take a look behind the scenes and experience our production processes firsthand. For example, you’ll have the opportunity to actively help us build our containers and thus gain new perspectives as well as insight into all the production areas.

Before You

Get Started

Contract Documents

Shortly after you receive a confirmation from us, we’ll send you two copies of your contract documents. You’ll sign both copies and send one of them back to us. The other one is for you to hold on to.

Preparation for Onboarding

Are you counting the days until you get started? Shortly before your first day of onboarding, we’ll send you an email with all the information you’ll need. The onboarding process is usually held at our head office in Haren (Ems). If you’ve been hired at a different location, we’ll organize your travel to and from the event as well as accommodations. Employees from other locations therefore have the exclusive opportunity to sleep in one of our Container Tiny Houses.

Your First

Day

The Organizational Part of Onboarding

Before you can get to work, there are a few organizational points to see to. The first day will begin with a company presentation that explains everything you need to know about ELA and our values. We’ll then answer any questions you may have. You will receive safety training and your work clothes for the upcoming traineeship, during which you will get to know our production areas. The first half of the day will conclude with a company tour.

Your Team and Your Workstation

You’ll meet your mentor around noon, and together you’ll make your way to your department or production hall, where you’ll have the opportunity to get acquainted with your colleagues and your workstation.

Your First

Week

Hands-on Training

As part of the onboarding process, your training will begin later in the first week. You’ll have the opportunity to explore all of the production halls and get a taste of the different areas of responsibility. This is a chance for you to get better acquainted with our product, our processes, and our employees without all the stress. Including hands-on activities, such as building a container or going for a ride in a truck! You can look forward to many exciting impressions.

Your First Few

Weeks

Introduction to the Commercial Departments

To provide you with an even better understanding of our company, we’ll organize a day during your second week for all the commercial departments to introduce themselves and explain their activities. You’ll also learn which contacts you can turn to for which topics.

IT Training Courses

IT professionals don’t grow on trees, so you’ll be taking part in a few interesting IT training courses during your second week. The software solutions we use internally are a very important part of the training courses. These lessons will provide you with the knowledge you need to perform your daily tasks in the future.

After the First

Several Days

Starting Your Daily Work Routine

Now that you’ve gained a great many new impressions and extensive knowledge, you’re ready to dive headfirst into your new job. You’ll be entrusted with more and more responsibility over time. Your new colleagues will always be there to help you as you settle in and to answer any questions you may have.

Open Corporate Culture

Thanks to our open corporate culture, it’s easy to connect with the many different departments and people. A friendly “hello” is always welcome. Maintaining contact with your colleagues will provide you with exciting insights and offer new perspectives.

After Six

Months

End of the Trial Period

Your trial period will end after six months. We look forward to having you on our team!
