Dream Job Ahead: Find the Right Position for You at ELA

If you’re searching for an internship for pupils, vocational training, or an integrated degree course, then take a look at our 

job portal

. If you’ve found a suitable internship for pupils, then apply around five to six weeks before the start date. For apprenticeship and our dual degree programe, you can can generally apply every year from June 1 for a start date in the following year.

On Your Application, Get Set, Go!

We’ll need some information from you in advance, so we can get to know you better. But don’t worry! You’ll have everything you need in just a few steps. Simply prepare your motivation letter, you résumé, and your last two school certificates, and upload them onto our online career portal, which you can find by clicking on “Apply now” next to the job advert that’s right for you. A letter and your résumé will suffice when it comes to internships for pupils. Tip: If you can express yourself better with spoken word than on paper, you can make a lasting impression with a brief

Please Be Patient as We View Your Application

We will send you a confirmation of receipt within 24 hours of receiving your application documents. If you’ve applied for vocational training or an integrated degree course, we’ll also provide you with all relevant information about the rest of the application process. We’ll then view all of the applications and get back in touch with you as soon as possible.

We Want to Meet You

If you’ve made a good impression on paper, it’s time to get acquainted. We’ll therefore invite you to a group interview with other applicants. This is also where you will come into contact with our apprenticeship manager. The purpose of small groups is to get acquainted, complete a group task, and learn more about the work at ELA Container. At the end, you’ll have some time to speak to us alone. Does that sound complicated? It really isn’t. Try to remain calm and be yourself – that’s the best way to win us over.

The Final Sprint and Contract Offer

If you’ve managed to make it this far, you’re almost there. In a final interview, we want to clarify any questions you may still have. Is it just as good a fit for you as it is for us? Then welcome to the team! We’ll mail the contract documents to you shortly thereafter.

Tips for Your Application

Make Your Application Stand Out

We want you to infect us with your enthusiasm, so show us in your application not only what you’re capable of, but also who you are. Most importantly, we’d like to know what interests you and why you’d like to work for us. We’re not looking for perfectionism by any means, so make sure to be authentic and honest.

Straight to the Point

If one of our internships or training or study opportunities is the perfect fit for you, then tell us about your strengths and why you should be a member of the ELA family. It’s also worth mentioning that you might want to avoid clichés and endless pages of text. Instead, concentrate on key facts and be as precise as you can, as less is often more.

Review Your Information

Anyone can make a mistake, so it’s all the more important to read through your application one last time before you send it in. Pay special attention to the following points:

Tips for Your Interview

Preparation Is Everything

Acquaint yourself with ELA and the position for which you’re applying before the interview, as this will allow you to write down any important questions you may have before we get together and ensure you don’t forget anything in all the excitement. All of the necessary information can be found on our careers page.

Plan Your Day Carefully

Be sure to get a good night’s sleep, so you’re ready for the day. You should check your route online in advance and plan in some extra time, so you don’t arrive late. We’ll provide you with more specific information about the day’s schedule in advance.

Be Yourself

We all know just how stressful interviews can be. But don’t let that frighten you. Try to remain as calm as possible. Most importantly, we’d like to get to know you as a person and want you to feel comfortable. So be as authentic as you can and ask your questions whenever you have any.

The Right Clothes

There is no dress code for interviews at ELA, so you can wear whatever makes you feel comfortable. Still, we’d like for you to make a professional impression, so feel free to leave your sweats at home.

Tips and Tricks for Your Application

How can I apply?

Ideally, you should submit your application online using our application form, which you can find by clicking on “Apply now” next to a job opening.

What documents do I need for my application?

For a complete application, we’ll require your contact information and your résumé. But you can also upload your application letter and your academic and practical certificates. While these are optional, we’re always happy to learn more about you as a person and your motivation. You can find the application form by clicking on “Apply now” next to the job opening that interests you.

Who is my contact?

Our recruiting team is the right contact for your application and any questions you may have about the process. You can find the contact for a specific job in the corresponding job posting and send your application to this person. Get acquainted with our entire recruiting team

When will I hear back?

Once we have your application, you will receive an automatic confirmation of receipt. We’ll then take a closer look at your application with the department in question and decide how to proceed with the process. We’ll try to get in touch with you as soon as possible – however, the application process tends to take two to three weeks.

Is the posted job still available?

If the position is still posted on our career portal, you can apply for it.

Can I apply for multiple jobs at the same time?

Yes, you can apply for multiple positions at the same time.

Can I submit an unsolicited application?

If you’re still unsure about the vocation you’d like to pursue, or if your dream job is currently not posted, please feel free to send in your unsolicited application. Simply visit the 

job opening overview page

 to learn how to submit an unsolicited application.

How long will it take to apply?

If you apply online using our portal, it should not take any longer than around ten minutes. In addition to entering your contact information and uploading your documents, you’ll also need to answer a few questions about topics such as your salary expectations or your period of notice. Then you can click on “Submit.”

What do I do if I forget my user data for the application portal?

If you’ve forgotten your password, simply click on the “Forgot password?” button to request a link that will allow you to create a new password.
