Company goals, work culture, products, and of course your new colleagues: there’s much to discover at ELA from the very first moment. To make your start as simple as possible, we’ve put together a special onboarding program for you. It doesn’t matter whether you’re completing an internship with us, working as a student assistant, or writing your thesis here. We want to help make your start with us a success. During your first two weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and learn what matters across our different departments.
Once the contract documents are signed, your time at ELA is fast approaching. Shortly before your official start date, you’ll receive an email with all the relevant information about getting started and your onboarding process.
We’ll invite you to a WhatsApp group to help you connect with other students more easily. There you can share impressions, exchange experiences, and support each other, ensuring you’re well connected from day one.
On your mark, get set, go. It’s time for your first day at work. All newcomers start together with a company presentation and tour, giving you the chance to dive deeper into the world of ELA and receive initial safety instructions. There are also a few organizational topics to cover, including your onboarding plan and the work clothing you’ll need for the trainee week in production.
After that, your mentor will welcome you and show you around your future department, where your new colleagues and your fully equipped workstation are already waiting for you.
Your trainee period starts right after your first day. This onboarding program gives you insight into the key production processes. Every day you’ll explore different areas of responsibility and may actively help build our containers or join a delivery. That way you quickly get to know both colleagues and workflows. If you join us as a working student and are not available for a full week, we’ll spread the trainee days across several weeks.
During the final stage of onboarding, you’ll mainly get to know the different commercial departments. In digital sessions, the teams introduce themselves by video and give you insight into their day-to-day work.
Digitalization plays a major role at ELA. That’s why several practical IT training sessions await you, helping you get to know our most important systems and work confidently with them afterwards.
The workday begins where onboarding ends. You’ll now start in your department with plenty of knowledge from the trainee program. But don’t worry: you’re not on your own. Your new colleagues are looking forward to supporting you as you get started at ELA. Step by step, you’ll settle in and quickly feel like part of the ELA family.
Starting at a new company is exciting for everyone. That is why we want to make your start easier with events designed specifically for students. These give you the chance to get to know other students in the company better. Many students also use lunch breaks or time after work for longer conversations.
