Company goals, work culture, products, and, of course, your new colleagues – there’s much to discover at ELA from the very first moment. To make your start as simple as possible, we’ve put together a special onboarding program for you. And it doesn’t matter if you’re completing an internship with us, working as a student assistant, or writing your thesis with the company – we’d like to help make your start with us a success. During your first two weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes and learn everything you need to know about our different departments. In other words, you’ll be in the thick of it, rather than on the sidelines.
If you’ve signed the contract documents, it means your time at ELA is fast approaching. Just before your official start date, you’ll receive an email containing all the relevant information about getting started and your onboarding process.
We’ll invite you to a WhatsApp group to allow you to better network with other students. Here you can share your impressions with others and support each other, ensuring you’re well connected from the very start.
On your mark, get set, go! It’s time for your first day at work. All the newbies get started together with a company presentation and tour, providing you with the opportunity to delve deeper into the world of ELA and receive initial safety instructions. There are also a few organizational issues to see to. For example, you will be given your onboarding plan and suitable work clothing for the coming week of training in production.
Then your mentor will meet with you and show you around your future department, where your new colleagues and your fully equipped workstation await you.
Your training will kick off after your first day. This onboarding program will provide you with insight into all relevant production processes. With the opportunity to explore different areas of responsibility every day and, for example, actively help build our containers or even ride along in a delivery truck, you’ll be better acquainted with all of the employees and the work processes before you know it. If you’re a student assistant and don’t spend the entire week with us, your training days will extend over a period of weeks.
You’ll spend much of the final week of onboarding getting to know the various ELA departments. During two digital events, all commercial departments present themselves via video and provide insights into their work.
Because digitalization plays such a big role at ELA, you’ll be taking a few exciting IT training courses designed to acquaint you with our most important systems and then teach you how to work with them.
The workday begins where the onboarding ends. Now you can get to work in your department with all the knowledge you’ve acquired through training. But don’t worry, you’re not on your own. Your new colleagues look forward to helping you get the ball rolling at ELA. You’ll be able to settle in over time and, before you know it, you’ll feel like part of the ELA family.
Starting out at a new company can be an intimidating process for anyone, which is why we aim to make it easier for you to settle in – with exciting events developed specifically for students. You’ll have the opportunity to get better acquainted with other students at our company. Many students also get together for a long chat at lunch or after work.
You can send us an email, give us a call, or message us.
