If you’re interested in laying the foundation for a promising career and combining theory and practice at the same time, then an dual degree program is the right option and ELA the best choice for you and your future. You’ll learn theory at the university and practical knowledge from us. You’ll dive straight into the action, always with a powerful team behind you. If that sounds interesting to you, you can apply as of June 1 for a start date the following year.
At ELA, you’re a valuable member of the team from the very start and can put your newly acquired knowledge to use without delay. Within a period of three years, you’ll have completed the practical portion with us and the theoretical portion at the university – and acquired a bachelor’s degree in the process. To ensure you feel right at home from the very start, we begin with a
two-week
onboarding
process, during which you can expect the following:
An orientation phase, during which you’ll meet the members of your team and gain insight into everyday operations and ELA products. Within the first two weeks, you’ll have the opportunity to get acquainted with many different departments and people – for example, when you tour our production halls, ride along in the truck, and help build a container.
Interesting courses such as telephone and driving safety training.
You’ll then be well prepared to explore the ELA world. Depending on the focus of your studies, you’ll now either get acquainted with different commercial departments or be placed permanently in a specific department. You’ll complete the theoretical portion at the Lingen campus of the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences. During your integrated degree course, you’ll spend
three months at the university and then three months with us
at the company, in alternating phases.
What you can expect from us:
Working hours: 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday
Optional flextime
Working from home up to three days a week
A good salary typical of the market
30 vacation days

You’ll work with us to develop technical products and services and always keep an eye on both economic and technical aspects, thus helping us to improve the efficiency and productivity of our operations.
Good to know
: With a shortened training course integrated into the program, you not only earn a bachelor’s degree, but also acquire a training certificate (on an optional basis).
We want to help you be the best that you can be and support you both during and after your integrated degree course in Emsland, which is why we also offer you:
Regular feedback meetings: It’s impossible to continue developing without regular feedback, which is why we discuss things at regular intervals and document how and in what direction you’d like to develop.
Bachelor thesis: We’re well aware that the bachelor thesis is an important part of your studies. We’ll work with you to develop an exciting topic for your thesis, taking into account your interests and the focus of your studies, and are available to provide you with advice and support along the way.
Time spent abroad: Would you like to explore the great wide world? We’ll accompany you! As an international family business, we offer you the opportunity to spend some time at one of our many locations abroad, even during your integrated degree course. We’d be happy to discuss the details with you when the time comes.
Very good hiring chances: We’re very interested in keeping you on as a valuable member of our team after your integrated degree course – if that’s what you’d like. During a prospects meeting at the beginning of your final year of study, we’ll define our mutual expectations, including your preferred department. Following discussions with you, your preferred department, and Human Resources, there’s nothing to prevent us from hiring you.
For us, authenticity is more important than perfection, which is why we’re interested in you just as you are – with all of your rough edges. Our corporate values are very important to us, which is why we would like for you to feel comfortable with them. Do you have an open-minded personality, like to learn new things, and approach life with a high degree of curiosity? We do too. Let’s come together as a team and support each other.
Of course, a certain degree of interest in us and our products is important, as is your desire to apply yourself at our company, continue developing with us, and pursue our visions with us.
The dual degree program at ELA requires an entrance qualification for general higher education or university. Candidates should also have a basic understanding of mathematics, German, and English. But we don’t require a certain grade on a piece of paper. What’s more important to us is your motivation. Very good skills in German and English couldn’t hurt and would simplify your daily work.
Whatever your situation may be, my door is always open to you and your questions.
