Your Dual Degree Program at ELA

At ELA, you are a fully fledged member of the team right from the start and can put what you have learned directly into practice. Over the course of three years, you complete the practical part with us and the theoretical part at the university, so that you ultimately graduate with a bachelor's degree.

To make sure you feel comfortable right from the start, we begin with a two-week onboarding phase, our onboarding. This includes the following:

• A getting-to-know-you phase in which you not only meet your team members, but also gain insights into everyday work and ELA products. During these two weeks, you will visit our production halls, ride along in a truck and help build a container, for example.
• Interesting training sessions such as telephone or driver safety training.

After that, you are well prepared to explore the world of ELA. Depending on the focus of your studies, you will either get to know various commercial departments or work permanently in one department. You complete the theoretical part at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences on the Lingen campus. Over the course of your dual degree program, you will spend alternating phases of three months at university and then three months with us in the company.

• Working hours: 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday

A dual degree program at ELA is particularly suitable for you if you are interested in a career in business. ELA offers the following dual degree programs:

• Business Administration and Sustainable Management (B.A.): You develop both organizational and mathematical skills that are important for planning and managing business processes. This allows you to build broad knowledge of business administration, economics and business law.
• Business Informatics and Sustainable IT (B.Sc.): Here you deal with the planning and development of information systems that we need for our daily work at ELA. Through mathematical and business management fundamentals, you build up a deep understanding.
• Industrial Engineering and Sustainable Development (B.Eng.): This dual degree program turns you into our expert at the interface between technology and business. Together with us, you develop technical products and services and always keep both economic and technical aspects in mind.

Good to know: You can voluntarily integrate a shortened apprenticeship into your dual degree program so that in addition to your bachelor's degree, you also gain a vocational qualification.

• Regular feedback meetings: Only those who receive feedback regularly can continue to develop. That is why we talk to each other at regular intervals and define how and where you would like to grow.
• Bachelor's thesis: We know that your bachelor's thesis is an important part of your studies. To ensure you can work on an exciting topic, we develop a suitable subject together with you based on your interests and specialization.
• Stays abroad: Would you like to see more of the world? We support you. As an international family business, we are happy to enable you to spend time abroad at one of our many locations while you are still studying.
• Very good chances of staying on: We are very interested in keeping you on as a valuable member of the team after your dual degree program if that is what you want. At the beginning of your final year, we align our mutual expectations, including your preferred department.
